Cali turns " 3 " | Fredericksburg, Va. Maternity, Newborn, Cakesmash, Family Photographer

Sweet Cali is one of my dearest friend's little girl, so of course photographing her is near and dear to my heart. I remember meeting Sara (cali's mom) around same age as Cali is now. Its crazy to think about how fast life flies by. It seems like just yesterday Sara and I were swinging on my backyard swing set, running around the famous "Fox Meadows" neighborhood and just begin kids. But now were both Mamas to amazing little girls and Boss ladies of our own. Sara owns and runs her own Engineering Company " Legacy Engineering, P.C." located in downtown Fredericksburg and she's totally dominating and succeeding in a traditionally known "male" career! She's a huge inspiration to me! So we usually have tons to talk about and catch up on when we see each other. Its either the typical mommy topics like " did your little girl ever do this?" or business chats about being our own boss ladies!

So when Sara came to me and said Cali turns 3 in a few months and I need you to work your magic with the theme this year. I laughed and said whats the "theme" and sara said "Farm Theme"!! Cali is on this huge kick with farm animals, in particular chickens!! I couldn't have been happier creating this setup, it really pushed my creativy levels to a whole new level! My first thought was, well ill just rent some animals and have them in the studio for a few hours LOL!! After rethinking that Idea i realized that although having 5-6 animals roaming around my studio would be pretty cool it was very unpractical. So I took that idea and ran with it and created a "No animals were hurt in the making" setup lol!!! I hope you all enjoy these images as much as I do! Happy 3rd Birthday Farmer Cali!!!
